What actually happens in the free one-hour sit-down

By Jonathan Cole, founder. .

"Free consultation" usually means a sales call with a worksheet. Ours is closer to an operator sitting down with another operator and asking where the week goes. Here's the hour, roughly.

Minutes 0 to 10: your week

You tell us what a normal Tuesday looks like. Who's on the team, what they touch, which software you pay for and which parts of it you actually use. We're listening for the sentence every owner eventually says: "and then I have to re-type that into..."

Minutes 10 to 35: the pain points

We ask about the tasks that feel like busywork, the ones that pile up when someone's out sick, and the ones you'd hire for if you could afford it. If you're comfortable, you share your screen and show us. Seeing the real spreadsheet beats any description.

Minutes 35 to 50: what's worth building

By now we have a list. We sort it live: which tasks follow the same steps every time (easy to automate), which need judgment (keep a person on it), and which combine the most hours with the clearest rules. Those go to the top.

Minutes 50 to 60: the plan

You get a written plan within a day: the top three tools, what each one does, roughly what it saves, and a fixed price if you want us to build them. The plan is yours whether or not you hire us. Some owners take it to their nephew who codes. That's fine; we'd rather you build the right thing.

What we don't do

We don't record the call, we don't ask for logins, and we don't follow up six times. If it's a fit, you'll know, and so will we.

Want to make the hour count? Fill out the pre-sit-down questionnaire first, then pick a time.

Give us a free hour. We'll show you where the time goes.

Pick a time that works and we'll meet on video, or send the basics and we'll reach out within one business day. Want to make the hour count? Fill out the full pre-sit-down questionnaire; it takes about 10 minutes.
